Cult Blood Red Moon is exactly the kind of aromatic pipe tobacco that many have asked for over the years - a smooth, easy-smoking blend, with a cherry note. This exceptionally gentle tobacco is a mixture of Burley, Virginia and black Cavendish with a soft, deep cherry flavor, made even rounder with a dark chocolate note and a hint of vanilla. If cherry blends of the past have soured you on trying a new one, you'll be sorry if you pass this one up! With the chocolate and cherry combination in this blend, Cult Blood Red Moon resembles the flavor of a cherry cordial. A sweet smoking experience with this tobacco for sure.
Hands down one of the best pipe tobaccos I have smoked, and the absolute best cherry.
Very smooth enjoyable smoke.
Though I'm not a fan of all aromatics this one is truly delightful! The sent is truly a crowd pleaser and gets no complaints. Wonderful dark chocolate and cherry flavor!
WOW! I'm still an apprentice piper but have been trying every tabacco I can find. Got a sampler from Russ's monthly flavor and otc from around here. Cult has blown my doors off. I was liking aromatics ok but wanted a smoke to love and was wondering about getting some non aro or English.(I have a Frog Morton sampler on way and some Mississippi Mud on backorder) Cult to the rescue! This will be a two or three tin a month order from now on. Smoke well my friends and thank you P&C for saving this Ozark Hillbilly from middle of the road or less tobacco.
Bought it based on the good reviews, but this stuff is awful. This certainly has that mouth numbing cherry taste similar to that sore throat spray your mom sprayed down your throat when you were a kid. Going in the trash.
Not a bad smoke, but gotta have a taste for it, kinda odd under taste too it, guess it's the lil taste of dark chocolate, some may like, some not, worth $5 to give it a try, you might love it.
Read a lot of reviews about it. Got pretty excited about it while waiting to arrive. TRIED to let the tin sit as I already had too many open. Couldn't do it. curiosity got the best of me and I popped open the tin. Its is a wonderful cherry aroma. No doubt. Lights well, burns well, smells great. While for the most part I get a real cherry taste, maybe a bit of chocolate, at times i get a bit of NyQuil flavor, but only when i over-puff. I have a bad habit of puffing too much, so anything negative I've pulled off of this is my own doing. When sipped ever so slightly the cherry flavor and aroma is fantastic. Buy again? Yeah! If you're thinking about it, go for it. quite a treat for an aromatic fan. Mix a little bit with Sutliff Chocolate Mousse for a dessert smoke.
Straight out of the tin, the aroma is enough to knock you back in your seat. That said, the flavors come across just right on the palate. Definitely a nice aromatic to change up the rotation.
I'm still a newbie but this stuff is great! If you are looking for an authentic tasting cherry and not some knock off cheaply flavored stuff, this is it. I'll be getting more. The wife approves of the room note too.
If you are looking for; - a cherry tobacco with flavor - that won't bite - isn't goopy - great room note - smokes evenly through the bowl. Then you have found possibly your new favorite. Yes, it is that good. J
I almost bought this online a few days ago but decided against it. Then today I made my way to a local tobacco shopp I was looking at the house blends picking out a few flavors to try out. As I was leaving the pipe area I spotted this tin. The lady asked if I had tried it because it was amazing. Then I had to buy it. She informed me it sold out within 10 minutes when the first started selling. This is an amazing taste, it's cool and has no bite. The room note is very nice but holy smokes the flavor is incredible. I smoked a bowl and once it was done I grabbed my corn cob and fired up another. I sent a pic of it to my cousin (I got him into pipe smoking) to buy and recommend this to everyone. This is definitely part of my "always have on hand" list!
I have tried other kinds of pipe tobacco, this one has to be my favorite. Keep it in stock,I'll be buying more!
Smoking as I am typing.I have tried many different cherry blends. This one blows them out of the water.Thought MC 7 seas was great but this one beats them.Easy to light, smokes well with the same flavor right down to the bottom. No bite, no gunge at pipe well just flavor and no bs. This is the first product I can say is exactly what is advertsied. Its good period. If you like MB red you will love cult.I get paid tomorrow and ordering 2 more tins {just in case}!!!
Awesomely tasty! Will always have some of this on hand!
I'm not a fan of cherry flavored tobaccos but this one really is different. Definitely in my top 5! I just wish I could buy it bulk.
This was a disappointing aro. It burned hot, wet, even after drying for 48 hours. The flavors never quite developed as it was always weak and mild. The flavors tasted like cheap cough syrup, and it felt cheap too. The tin is awesome so if you want something to look at, buy it for that, otherwise, its not a good smoke.
By far the best of the best of the cherry flavored tobaccos. I have made it part of my rotation. Best if you let it dry for a few minutes before smoking. The only way to make it better would be to sell it in bulk.
I had purchased this for my son and brother in-law, now you know I was going to try it, glad I did. Very smooth, great room note, not over powering on top note taste, has good tobacco taste, no bite. Very enjoyable for an evening smoke or afternoon. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a cherry blend.
Amazing stuff! It's advertised as "smooth" and "easy smoking", brother, they ain't kidding! Even puffing too hard did not make this stuff bite. Very smooth. Wonderful room note. Get some!
Cult's Blood Red Moon keeps me coming back for more. Simply the best cherry blend out there.
Bought a tin of this, as I am a fan of aros, expecting the worst. Upon arrival I could smell the aroma of cherry through the tin. It was pleasant to say the least. Once opened, the smell was almost overwhelming. After letting the Cult sit for a few minutes to dry (as I do with most of my tins), bowl packed, I lit the 'bacco and took a draw. The flavor wasn't nearly as potent as the tin note lead me to believe. I would suggest this to anyone who is a fan of cherry but doesn't want the overwhelming cherry note. It's subtle but full-flavored. I will be buying again!
This is by far the best cherry I've ever had most of the time aro's smell good but don't taste as well as they smell.....well this one does, will be getting this very often, wish they had more pipe tobacco...
I've tried a few cherry blends and have always suffered the tougue bite that comes with these blends. After reading the positive reviews of Cult I tried it. This is truly the best cherry aro I have smoked. flavorful, smooth and NO TOUGUE BITE. Try this one!
To add to my review after spending a few weeks with this blend; The cherry flavor does not have an artificial flavor as does every other cherry flavor I've ever had. It tastes like a quality natural cherry. I enjoy blends like tk_6 and p.s. cherry bon bon, but they have a slight artificial flavor. That is what is not present in blood red moon. Really an amazing blend. It is my current favorite, as I am mainly an aro smoker. Every newbie to the pipe should be mandated to smoke this first. It will hook ya.
This was part of tobacco of the month set. My only regret is that I didn't try it sooner. It has a pleasant, rich cherry and vanilla flavor to the bottom of the bowl and an aroma that draws compliments and curiosity. This is anything but the sickeningly syrupy sweet cherry blends of yore. Absolutely delicious.
This is a awesome cherry will be permenantly in my rotation
Very nice blend. I will order again.
Smelled great when I first opened the tin, like chocolate covered cherries. After smoking it I noticed that it was very smooth, and the cherry flavor was very definite and enjoyable. I think I'll definitely make this one of my regulars.
Hands down, the best cherry blend I've ever had.
Cult Blood Red Moon is one of my favorite blends, it tastes, smells, & burns great! I got this tin as part of the monthly sampler pack and I would definitely order more! Give this one a try no bite just smooth smoking.
I loved this. The name and tin are mysterious and the smoke is perfectly balanced. Creamy and thick flavorful smoke. A wonderful cherry note with vanilla and chocolate maybe? I will definitely keep a tin around.
Tasty. This is what I thought an aromatic should taste like when I remembered a friend of the familly's pipe. Cherry and dark chocolate, but the kind you get from Williams-Sonoma, not Target.
Nice and smooth tobacco. Very aromatic and flavorful !
the best cherry blend I have ever smoked. don't pass this one up
The best flavor ever
This is a great blend. Even if you are not into aro's I would give this one a go. Burns great, no goop, no gurgle.
This is quite frankly an amazing tobacco. I picked up a Tin during a recent deal, and I have never regretted it less. The tobacco itself is a faintly on the moist side, extremely rich smelling flavor, almost to the point of sickly sweet. It really does smell like a dark chocolate cherry cordial. From there it packs perfectly, and from the very first light fills the room with that scent. The room note is amazing, and draws in people who otherwise even claim to hate all smoke in all forms. I can best describe it as smooth, rich, and cool despite how strong the flavoring is. You get more of the chocolatey taste than the cherry while smoking it, but the undertone remains. I'm not big on buying tins when I could just buy bulk, but I think I might have to keep a tin of this on hand at all times. It strikes me as a perfect 'Dessert' tobacco after a good meal.
