I use the Missouri Meerschaum pipes as they are handy and good for about 20 minutes of smoking but sometimes the Dr Grabow's don't fit as they are a couple of millimeters too large ! But other-wise I am content with them.

These filters work well in most filter pipes... the only downside I have encountered is that they seem to need changing more often than others I have used.... i.e. half day usage or less.. Otherwise they are optimal.. fit and preform well...

I'm a bit of a wet smoker and these absorb some of the moisture. I use them in a MM pipe. I would recommend them. One question I had when I was considering pipe filters was, how many pipes do you get out of them? I think you should count on 2 pipes at the most, but it's probably best to change them with every pipe.

I get blister pack of three boxes.
Fits well into NEW Cobb and wood pipes.
Once the pipe broken in, you will have to cut these in half (easily done with shears) to fit in your pipe.
I figure some filter can be better than no filter.

Excellent product with excellent value. It’s a pipe filter and it works as well as it should/needs to work. If you use a filter on your pipe (6mm) then I don’t see any reason you wouldn’t be happy with these.

Now, as long as they’re not crimped or smashed, I don’t care about the looks. The draw is paramount to me, and there isn’t any restriction with these filters! I have never noticed any effect, what so ever, with the taste of the tobacco. Dr. Grabow filters have never disappointed me!

I have tried filters and this the best filter for the money I have found. I have tried 3 other brands. My Dad used Dr Grabow filter for years and here it is 30 years later, I use them daily. I aiso smoke nonfiltered pipes and pipes that use a 9mm filter, but I keep coming back to my corn cobs with the Dr Grabow filters.

I have decided that I prefer the Medico filters because the Dr, Grabow brand seems to have more filter media, but it causes them to clog and require replacement much sooner.

These are great filters that don't warm the flavor of the tobacco and keep the grit and ash out of your mouth if you are an excitable pipe smoker like me. I have just compared the experience of R-Blend from Sutliff in two Mo Meerschaum pipe, one filtered with a Grabow, and one filterless. The flavor was identical, my mouth was happier with the slightly lower temperature and the absence of occasional debris from when I draw to hard. Well worth the money, especially in the bulk packaging.
