Gawith & Hoggarth Cherry Vanilla

I like this! It's mild but tastes like tobacco, not hot air. Nice cherry taste without being yucky or overpowering. Non-smokers tell me the smoke smells pleasant but doesn't smell like cherry. 5 stars.

A smoothness and aroma most refreshing.......

I can smell the cherry, but not the vanilla! It burns well, no bite.

Way back in the day I walked into a random tobacconist in London and said "I want a pipe". They asked if I smoked and I replied not a day in my life. They directed me to a nice simple basket pipe and offered me an ounce of G&H Cherry Vanilla if I decided to pick up the hobby stating that it was a good mild starter if I didn't know what I was doing. At the time I was so clueless that I didn't even know what brand it was to reorder later. Once the first purchase was gone it was gone and believe me my friends and I smoked it all away pretty fast. I've always wanted to go back to it and was thrilled when I found it here. I'm moving more toward English blends now, but this will always be in my rotation. If I'm not careful I can get some bite off of this, but for the most part it is pretty tame and the room note is a delight to those around you. If you are a beginner you can't go wrong with this. If you are past that stage already you might not be interested as I would consider this a beginner blend all the way. But for me the nostalgia wins out over the desire for something more complex.

This was a fantastic cherry blend. Very smooth, and the vanilla scent complimente the cherry.
