GL Pease Kensington is a well-balanced, Orientals-forward blend with a little less Latakia than many of Mr. Pease's blends. This allows more sweetness to be noticeable and gives Kensington a brighter more refreshing flavor than most Latakia-based tobaccos. If you like blends that are more Orientals-forward with a less heavy Latakia presence, Kensington is a great choice.
This blend is exactly what I expected from GL Pease, quality. Noted by a friend as something I may enjoy, I tried it. While this blend is not my cup of tea, the quality of the blend cannot be denied. A mild English, very well suited for the morning, lights well, smokes well, and is not heavy in the Latakia (I would say the Latakia is very well blended.) Well worth the experiment if you have yet to give it a go.
