Hearth & Home Signature Louisiana Red is a great sweet and spicy blend containing two different red Virginias and a good amount of outstanding Acadian Perique. The rich, round sweetness of the Virginias are complimented by the plum and pepper hints of the cool-burning Perique. An overwhelming favorite of our local pipe club members, and has become the best-selling VaPer in the Hearth & Home lineup.
Burned well. Just not as rich as I like. I finished it. I think I prefer bayou morning from from C&D.

The red virginias add a very mellow but sweet notes and the perique sets the perfect balance. The perique has a pepperie after taste but not over powering at all. Excellent overall with a nice room note as well.

Tangy red Virginia and the classic prune taste of Perique. I really like this and have bought more. I took one star off because out of the bag the Virginias are a little tart, but give it some air and they mellow some. I think this will be a magnificent blend with a couple of years age. It reminds me of some of the McClelland Virginias I’ve had.

Absolutely Fantastic smoke. I wonderful VaPer which I am so happy to have added to my tabak rotation. Although, while perfectly good-to-go 'as is', when in the mood for some add nicotine, I do like to give it some extra 'Oomph' by adding in an extra 25% Sutliff TS-20 Perique - which is also available in bulk from P&C.

This is not my favorite genre,. But this is a nice, mellow smoke. Lots of flavor from that Red Virginia, and the spice/fruit flavor of the perique is just enough without being overbearing.

This is my first blend into non-aromatics ever and you could absolutely say this will be a personal favorite of mine. The flavor it provides in the smoke is absolutely exceptional. The loghtly grassy flavor of the virginia and the fruity yet fermented flavor of the perique makes for one of the best smokes that makes my salivate like Pavlov's dog from start to finish.

A great smoke. So sweet with a little tang. Low in nicotine, a good once or twice a day smoke. Mixes well if you would like to do that, I mix with bayou morning when I need a little stronger smoke, but great just as it comes. Smoke slooowlyy.

LR packs and smokes easy. It's a smooth flavored blend. I did not like it though bc, to me at least, it tastes as if it had a light top dressing. I also tasted little perique and mostly Virginia. It is a sweet spicy smoke with little depth. It's worth a try. Not rotation worthy for me though.

This is an outstanding smoke. It has a very light salty taste on the top of a sweet taste. It is kinda like a malt and fries it is just something about a sweet and salty flavor that I love. It is not a strong taste but just enough to let you know it's there. If you haven't tried it you have too.

Writing this while smoking for the first time. Fantastic tangy citrus flavors with wonderful spicy front edge. Full cool smoke. Lighter end of VaPers but extremely tasty and satisfying. Wonderful blend. Highest recommendation. Will be frequented often on my lineup.
