|Tobacco||Black Cavendish, Burley|
|Room Note||3 - Balanced|
Lane Limited's TK-6 is a blend of terrific toasted/steamed Cavendish along with smooth and mellow Burleys that forms a very easy smoking mixture. What sets it apart is a wonderful creamy cherry flavor that isn’t sharp or bitey like so many of the cherry blends available. The subtle vanilla undertone keeps this blend from being "too much" and helps TK-6 to develop an aroma that everyone will love.
Although i do enjoy the sweeter flavors that pipe tobbaco offers i personaly found this to be way to sweet for me........the other thing was a very bad sweet after taste but worse than that a very heavy cherry smell remained in the bowl and affected the taste of other tobbacos ...i had to fill the bowl with pipe cleaner soulition over night to get it out...and it did with no further issues..i wont recomend tobbacos or not recomend tobbacos becaues as any long time pipe smoker will tell you we are all different and my experence may not be the same as yours with the same tobbaco ...it will only reflect my experence with it ....
Very little cherry flavor or aroma. Not as good as the other Lane tobaccos I have smoked. Funky aftertaste. Not recommended.
I got this tobacco by accident. I ordered 2 oz. of LL-7 and I received TK-6 instead and boy am I glad. I love this tobacco. It's mild with no bite but it has a very pleasant taste. I recently went to a party and I was smoking a pipefull outside when a very lovely young lady told me that she loved the aroma and stayed outside with me until her boyfriend called her in. Obviously it has a great room note. TK-6 is now my go to tobacco. I recommend this tobacco to anyone looking for a mild when relaxing or working on a project.
Easy to light. Great cherry smell from the bag, but not to sweet or fake. No bite for me at all. Perfect moisture level right out of the bag. Nutty sweet taste with the cherry in the background. Flavors developed very well as I smoked.
This is the best cherry aromatic I've yet to try. The flavor is more like real cherry or at least a cherry candy than the "cherry cough medicine" flavor of most I've tried. Adding one part 1Q to two part of this improved the flavor. The room note was said to be about the same, pleasant and the reason for its purchase. I smoke mostly 1Q because of the room note, but would stay mainly with English blends were it not for their smell. As such, you may imagine I'm not a fan of "flavored" tobaccos, but can at least tolerate this in an attempt to please other people. If you like cherry or, like me, have been asked to smoke a cherry blend, I'd suggest giving this a try. As usual, you will need to dry it out for optimum smoking.
