MATCH 11 Aromatic

I smoked blend 11 in 1960, it was my favorite blend at the time. I went years without it. Now I found this blend 11. It is exactly the same wonderful taste, burn rate is excellent. I bought 2 oz and reordered 4 more a few days ago. My favorite is back!!!! Thank you for the remake of this wonderful blend.

Modestly priced but up there where it counts in smokeability and taste. Burns cool all the way to the bottom of the bowl.

Very nice aroma with a bit of spicieness!

Tried a few bowls in different pipes; a meer, a cob, and a briar. I smoked it at different times of the day just to give this blend a chance. I found the bag note I ordered it in bulk, mild and easily lost after a few sniffs. The whisky note was mild and just barely there. The moisture content was a little dry, but not too bad, it held up well and did not flake away like dry tobacco does. It packed easily and well straight out of the bag. It lit easily and stayed lit. It burned well to a dark gray ash without any glop at the bottom of the bowl. Room note was light to medium not overbearing like some aromatics. As for the flavor, it was mild. No tongue bite and no aftertaste. I liked it and I wanted to like it or hate it but I found myself putting it right in the middle the road. Nothing jumped out at me. The burley notes were as mild as the flavor added. IMO the casing was more of a topping, making it milder. This would be a good tobacco for those trying avoid the heavy aromatics yet not ready for a full on burley or virginia...

A little stronger than I expected. I still prefer my Lane mixtures.
