McConnell's Folded Flake begins with premium-quality Virginias and adds zesty Louisiana Perique and spicy, earthy dark-fired Kentucky. The tobaccos are married under pressure and are then sliced into long strips, which are folded over before tinning. The result is a lightly-sweet blend with just enough body to satisfy and enough tang to tantalize.
Virginias of a dark variety married with a touch of perique and some Kentucky. I wouldn't call this a VaPer in my usual understanding. Its a bit dark a bit spicey and all together very smooth. I tend to prefer Dunhill Flake Wessex Red and my favorite Solani's 633 but this is a great change of pace with enough going on to keep it interesting.

Full bodied smoke, with hints of black pepper, burnt steak and the dark brown sweetness of caramelized meat. Occasionally a cigar like character in smokiness and aroma. Pleasant and interesting and certainly well made, but not personally my cup of tea.

I really like this stuff. It is a very fine quality tobacco when you first see it. It comes in one big folded flake and it smells wonderful. I think the Kentucky's really make this tobacco special. If you like VAPERS it's a solid choice.
