Missouri Pride is the kind of blend that most pipe enthusiasts would associate with the Missouri Meerschaum corn cob experience. This is a blend of superb quality Burleys with some Virginias added, and minimal top flavoring. The blend is made up of broken flake, with some ribbon-cut Burley, for a nice, even burn, and the flake processing adds a deeper flavor to the tobacco. For a smooth blend with real tobacco flavor you can enjoy all day long, try a pouch of Missouri Pride.
To quote an attendee from the Chicagoland Pipe and Tobacciana Show from 2014- "Missouri Pride is what Prince Albert wants to be when he grows up.:
Incredibly smooth and tasty, relaxing, delicious, all that and more. Great price, superb blend... MM Pride is wonderful to smoke in a cobber or briar or whatever... Hope they come out with some more blends, I'll try them all...
Not a fan of Missouri Pride don't like the cut which I find is hard to keep lit nor the bite that seemed to keep coming no matter how slow I smoked. There were times when I did taste the sweet flavor many others have enjoyed, but with all the other tobacco choices this is not for me.
I received it in my month Club shipment, It was so dried out I didn't know if it would be good to smoke! But! I put it in a humidor and checked it every other day. When the moistness it needed to smoke was right, I smoked all of the pouch. This is very good smoke. I have smoked it in several different pipes, it is now one of my three all-day Tobacco! I'm going to try another Missouri Meerschaum blend and see if it also comes very dry.
One of my favorite tobacco blends yet (just started smoking pipes a few months ago). Upon opening the pouch the aroma toes the line between a nutty tone and the sweet smell of honey. When smoking it the smoke never was too hot even in my shortest pipes. All in all this is a fantastic value brand that goes well with a long thoughtful smoke or a quick one before walking out the door.
When I received it in my month Club shipment, I almost threw it in the Trash. It was so dried out, I didn’t think it had a chance of being any good. But, instead I put it in one of my Humidors and then checked the moisture every day. When it came up to the moistness needed to smoke it I, loaded a pipe and fired it up. Bottom-line, this is one fine smoke. I have smoked it in 5 different pipes, one being a new pipe, today, and it has NO Bite and passed the test I have been looking for in an all-day Tobacco!
I will gladly add Missouri Pride to my rotation. The Mark Twain Dublin is a perfect fit for this tobacco when you want to enjoy a nice long smoke.
I received the 4 pack sampler and had no expectations. I filled the Missouri Pride with Missouri Pride and headed to the porch to enjoy my Saturday. I was surprised. I smoked all the way down until I scorched the stem stub! I highly recommend this blend.
As a new pipe smoker coming from cigarettes, this was a great blend to smoke all day. I smoked this in the Ozark mini while I fished all day and could not have been happier with it. No bite to it, just smooth and mellow to the end of the bowl with very little dottle due to the pipe in which I smoked from. Looking forward seeing this available in bulk.
Smoked two bowls of this yesterday on the way to work and on the way home. When they called it an all day smoke, they were right. It was just as tasty at 4am in the Morgan nosewarmer as it was at 4pm in the Legend. Straightforward mellow tobacco flavor all the way to the bottom of the bowl. Definitely will be getting more when the pouch runs out. Hopefully will be available in bulk soon.
