I use this blend for RYO cigs primarily but it smokes great in a pipe as well. Nice simple blend with not much complexity, but that's not to say it isn't great as is.

High quality and super smooth Stokkebye Danish is a truly wonderful pipe tobacco, more so my wife uses it as a RYO because as cigarette tobacco its top of the line 100% pure tobacco and allows for a 100% smoking exsperiance, Danish Export is awesome because the flue cured Virginia tobaccos marry very well together and whether you choose to role it in a paper or pack a bowl, it will still give you a good smoke all in all, no chemical taste no toppings just pure tobacco goodness. Comes to you fresh from Pipes and Cigars I would order it from no other!!! I highly recommend this fine tobacco blend.

I've tried the tried and true but this and the Amsterdam blend are my 2 favorites with the Virginia blend being my 3rd. The only thing I could improve on is the cut and stalk content. I prefer a wider cut and there is the odd stick or 2. Other than that I'm 100% pleased with the taste and aroma.

OK for RYO but not a Fave

I've been trying out tobaccos from P&C for RYO--12 so far. Smoked ExportA's (mostly Lights) for many years. This blend was ok, but not one of my favorites. Med smoke, with sweet fruity flavors, like fig and cherry with a little vanilla. Easy to roll, but burned a bit hot with a little bitterness. Not what I was looking for. Won't order again. There are too many others to try! Great prices and service to date. P&C has exceeded my expectations.

Danish Export has a drier taste than other Virginia blends which lends itself well to RYO cigarettes. The lack of sweetness can balance out a blend but is surprisingly boring to smoke by itself.

Great ultralight ryo tobacco

I use this as a ryo also. I'll mix 36ozs with a bag of bugler blue and it's perfect. The danish is fairly moist and won't roll easily but the bugler helps with that. You'll also have to shrewd it up some more. The danish on its own is ultra lite the bugler gives it a boost.

Ribbon cut; mild. Not very aromatic. Dry enough as shipped to aid other
tobaccos to burn better. A good component for blending with burley, bright,
virginias or cavendish. Subtle or light enough for pipe or cigarettes.

What I got was labeled "Stokkebye 80" I found the cut a bit stringy and hard to pack. Drew hard and tastes a little harsh.

I have been puffing on a pipe since 1980 and must say this really is a great natural smoke. Quality tobacco that really hits the spot with a cup of coffee morning noon or night. I don't have the ability to taste or write fancy reviews.. I either like a blend or I don't based on packing and puffing ease.. this blend is two thumbs up. Nice all natural smoke that is easy on the mind and wallet. As they used to say.. Try It You'll Like It.

I usually smoke #83 Amsterdam, but thought I would try the Danish for variety. It was a wonderful non-aromatic smoke, with great flavor and a bit of a bite. I have since gone back to my favorite Amsterdam, but would definitely try this again.

This is a smooth but full tasting tobacco that rolls and smokes well in tubes. If the tobacco arrives too moist for rolling leaving some of it out at around 50% humidity for a day or too will help.
