Peterson Standard System Rustic Pipes

The Peterson Standard System 305 is by far the best pipe I have ever smoked. I am glad it has the acrylic stem. Am not fond of the extra maintenance associated with the vulcanite stem. This pipe is reserved for my special evening pipe. Thank you for offering it at a great price.

After many a year I decided to pick up a pipe again. My immediate choice was a Peterson. 30 odd years ago I took a part time job at a tobacco/gift store that was owned by an older gentleman and his wife. Along with the basic training required for the job he passed on as much knowledge as he could (and a love for Latakia!). While I may not have retained a lot of what I learned his words ring true to this day - "There is nothing like a Peterson"

I was skeptical of the claims about the system pipe, but it genuinely delivers a cooler, drier smoke. I’m a total convert.

Peterson makes a good pipe that smokes well. However, the bit received had a rather bulky mouthpiece. Being a production pipe (in my opinion) it is over priced compared to other production pipes of the same or better quality. Peterson has bit issue that needs to be addressed. Otherwise, it is a very good smoke.
