Have been lookn for replacement stems as keep dropping pipe and breaking tip or insort tip. Had to scrape insort tube to go in...other then that cost more then parts but worth it. Oh...like some of tobacco but can't afford. As on 2/3 s.s. thank you

I use these stems on my briar and meerschaum pipes, due to fact that I can't afford to he them re-stemmed. This does work. OK, it's only temporary fix, but for those of us on limited incomes that's all we can hope for.

The stem works great. As one who habitually bite down on the stem while smoking, its life cycle is short. I also like the fact that it is transparent and I can visibly know when it is time to be replaced.

These were just what i needed to replace the well used stem on my corn cob pipe. I also ordered this in bent, perfect fit.

The black stems work like they are supposed to. Wish you had them in amber.

What can be expected for the price. They always need to have the flashing dressed and they never have been durable stems for clentching, but I like a good cob pipe. I wear the stems out and replace them, since they fit the budget.

Fit nice and snug into a mm country gentleman and looks good.

...at least for a short while. Though the amber seems a tad harder, that just may be my feeling and may not be true (and it is still too soft). My problem (and this because I love M.M. cobs) is that the plastic is just not a good material for a stem as it is simply too soft. I would prefer a better material (e.g. vulcanite, bakelite, luvite, etc.), but appreciate the higher cost factor. On the plus side, the replacement cost is low; I simply wish I didn't have to do it so often. One suggestion might be to sell these plastic stems by the bag (i.e. a package of 10 or 12) for a slight bulk discount. Though my best long evening smoker is a 'Free Hand' with the finer quality stem, my all day smokers are the 'Country Gentleman'. Further, a straight stem works quite well with the bent stem model due to the uptilt angle of the shank. In addition, the straight stem's life may be extended (if not too damaged) by a small and careful redrilling of the remaining opening(s); so I am moving to ordering the bent shank C.G. version, but reordering straight stem replacements after the bent version when no longer of use. Other than I would like wood plugs on most all of M.M. standard versions, I still think they remain the best value on the market. Just my personal 2ȼ.

Have not used it. Bought as a just in case for my MM pipe. Expect it to work just fine.

I keep these stems in stock at all times. Bent, straight, black, amber, Danish and freehand. (I got away from those little bitty [no pun intended] MM's about thirty years ago.) I'm a biter and I love the small soft feel of all these stems. A new stem will last maybe six months but only because I have 25 to 30 MM's in the rotation. They are all I smoke anymore. If I had all the money I spent on high $ briars before I discovered Mo Meer I could have retired sooner and bought still more tobacco. The stems on the Cobbit series are perfect for me but it looks like I'll burn the cobs through (hardwood plug or not) before I'll destroy those stems! I wonder if it was a marketing or engineering decision to make them a different fit?

Nice tight fit on the Missouri meerschaum cob pipe. Perfect inside diameter for filters too. A little loose when new but as soon as they get wet a good seal is formed. Great price.

It took forever for the order to be completed. It was months not weeks or days. Totally unacceptable. Product itself was acceptable

If you have MM Cobs or Hardwoods, it's always good to keep a few extra MM stems on hand. Sure they're plastic, and only last for a couple months, but for the cost, it's a no-brainer.

Cobs are a great, cheap smoke. Accordingly the stems can get a little knarly so having this inexpensive stem available is like getting a new pipe. What's not to like about that?

I just received the black bent replacement stems and think they are great! I also ordered the straight stems and believe they will be just as good. I just wish this manufacturer made these in various widths to fit some of my briars. Great product, please make in different widths!! Edward H

I have a wall mounted case, full of old pipes, which was a gift from a garage sale. After my puppy destroyed my favorite pipe stem, I went to your site, thinking, new pipe. Then I found your offering of replacement stems, which I ordered, and after slight modifications on my belt sander, fitted them to 7 old pipes, which I then cleaned up an I'm now using. It's great to have different pipes for my daily use, and being able to use different pipes let's them dry out between uses. Some of the pipes are real classics. I just ordered and received some tobacco and a great deal on Medico filters. totally impressed!

Had several cobs that were really aged well and smoking sweet but were collecting dust because the stems were shot. Bought a few of the replacement stems and now those cobs are smoking once again. The stems fit perfectly and really dressed up those old cobs and gave them a new lease on life.

Is it just me..shouldn't a firm that sells so many pipe related products have a VAST assortment of replacement stems?? This unit worked as a replacement stem as expected..the disappointment lies in the limited selection.

Just what I wanted and reasonable price.

I ordered two stems so I would have a black to replace the amber on my pipes when the mood strikes. The 6mm filter fits fine and the stems is a nice snug fit in the pipe. I like them so much I have ordered the Danish stems for some variety.

I keep several of these on hand, as I use them in many of my Briars, as well as Cobs. It makes for a sweeter smoke over all. These fit the filtered Missouris as they are. But, with just a little hot water the tenon can be shaped to fit almost any Briar.

I make my own pipes and these little stems work great for me.

These stems work well with my corn cob pipe. They are plastic and not made particularly thick, but they are what I expected. Not as hard as acrylic and feel like I could bite through them if I clench down too hard. But, that's true of every corn cob pipe stem I've ever met. So, I give it 3 stars for quality.
