Great bacy
If it was winter I would probable give this 5 stars. I prefer English blends in the colder months.

Great taste!
I really enjoy this Special Reserve Flake. It's a very excellent English latakia. My one criticism is that it takes a bit of work to break the flake down to small enough pieces for me to pack a pipe bowl so that there isn't too much air space between the chunks of tobacco. But that's a minor point because the flavor is soooo worth it!

A fine smoke
Just getting back into pipe smoking after a 20-year hiatus. This was a good foray into sliced tobacco. Easy to pack, light, and smoke. Very pleasant. Now seeking out other SPC blends.

SPC never fails
Just bear with me here, if a first thing you smell from the tin when you break it open is either catchup, vinegar, or in this case, pungent cheese, you're in for a rare treat. The regular Plum Pudding is easily one of the finest tobaccos and this is even better.

I like this blend alot
I like this blend alot . Its one of the very few "popular or talked about" blends I have found that live lives up to the hype. A nice thick rich smoke and plenty of it . A good evening smoke. Plum pudding have found a permanent place in my rotation. Now I need to try the other versions to see if the special reserve is the right one for me .

Not what I had hoped it would be.
Plum Pudding Special Reserve sliced thin from the plug is one of the finest tobaccos on the planet. I was excited for the flakes but found them cut too thick to smoke well. Maybe it’s just me. It seems to taste different as well. I hate to speak ill of any Plum Pudding but this was a let-down. I’ll smoke PPSR as long as they make it, but the flaked version isn’t for me.

Great tobacco
It's very good but I still prefer the Seattle Pipe Club Plum Pudding Bourbon Barrel Aged.

Outstanding Blend
Amazing on the palate. This was a wonderful smoke. Very pleasing. It was complex yet smooth. Cool smoke. SPC has formulated a very fine blend. I did not find it too spicy, just enough to enhance but not prominent. I'm no expert at picking out "notes," but I can say that this was exquisite. Smoked in Savinelli Roma 626.

Something new
This was my first time trying Seattle Pipe Cub Plum Pudding Special Reserve and I was very surprised. I have only been smoking a pipe for a couple years but this was an instant favorite!!

Joe does it again
Joe is the master and perfectionist behind all my favorite: Seattle pipe club would not even be on my radar if it weren’t for him and I’m sure that would be the case for any aficionado… I sure hope that company is entirely is and if it’s not then that’s a very good example of exploitation

Outstanding
Just what I had expected. All of the greatness of Plum Pudding amplified due to the extra quality leaf used in the blend... outstanding.

An OK tobacco
I found the regular Plum Pudding to be a better tobacco, for me at least. This was "spicier" than what I normally like, and I like a good Balkan or English blend. I'm glad to have a couple of tins to age of it, but won't be buying any more until I can try it with at least 6 months on it. I found the Special Reserve plug I opened recently to smoke better, but that probably also has to do with the fact it was a 18 months old.

I smoke a "lot" of different tobaccos. This is one of my favorite blends. Mr. Pete-------------> aging hippie
