Sutliff American Dream

I wasn't expecting much from this blend due to the price. This is a very pleasant tasting, not too complicated but with just enough components to make you notice that this is not a too bland, or over powering, and smells good. It's what I look for in aromatic blends. So many aromatics today are full of added sweet stuff that I don't care for, this one's a good balance of everything it contains. I plan to order more.

Burns nicely, no bite as long as you don't push it. Good every day pipe.

For a more exhaustive revew, the youtuber 907 Piper did a video review of this tobacco entitled "Sutliff American Dream Review Cliff Notes Version" that I agree with 100%. There is something about this blend that I enjoy very much. I have been smoking it intermittently for about a year, and it would be my desert island smoke if I had to choose just one. Along the way I have tried a wide variety of other aromatics from Sutliff, Lane and Mac Baren, as well as just about every otc drugstore blend and some navy flakes and straight virginias, and while I enjoy many of those other tobaccos, I keep coming back to this. It's a mild aromatic comparable to Lane's LL-7, my other favorite. But the flavor is distinct from LL-7, which I guess is the coffee/rum/honey combination instead of vanilla/caramel. But I find that the casing is light as compared to other Sutliff aromatics like Vanilla Custard. Excellent room note, and doesn't leave you smelling like cigarettes.

Very nice blend. I could taste a raisin note from the perique, a sweet rum flavor, a nice honey component, with a slight coffee background. The Virginia also came through with its characteristic sweet rich tobacco flavor. The bag and room notes are sweet and rich. It didn’t bite, it required one relight and it burnt fairly cool. This is a nice aromatic with distinct and separate flavors coming through which all compliment each other. I will be purchasing more of this blend and add it to my rotation.

Love this Tobacco. Very Smooth with the Peppery taste of Perique.... I have been looking for this a long time...I have just placed my second order....Smokes Great with a room note to die for.......excellant and I will be buying this for a long time to come....thanks, Pipes and Cigars and Sutliff.... I bought an oz to sample and the bag aroma was very strong, vanilla, chocolate, honey and rum just like it says. It was overwhelming, but after a few days to air out I decided to jar it up and let it sit a while. I love the aroma, taste is that of a typical aromatic like 1q or RLP-6 but still has a Virginia character and Perique kick. This is why I want to see how it mellows out. I think it could be a good kind of crossover Aromatic VaPer blend.

Great fulfilling taste

Wonderful tin note even if I didn't find the coffee flavor in jar or once lit.fairly smooth and good flavour and room note. Nicely blended honey vanilla with some rum notes. Not an over powering aroma once smoked, and I kind of wish it was a little stronger )ike the taste, but that is my preference.

I really like this tobacco. It's smooth, cool to smoke...I am a Green River Leaf ( Black Cavendish ) lover... this is great with just the right amount of Black and a great Room Note... I am enjoying this and will order it again. Thanks P & C Greg

I did not like this blend at all. I enjoy aromatics regularly but this one is just a mash up of flavors, I could not find the coffee or rum at all, just a lightly sweet vanilla. The pouch aroma is amazing, as is the room note but as far as smoking it was not worth it. I notice many people state there is no tongue bite but this one bit me no matter how slow I sipped it. I may use it to blend with other aromatics that need to be toned down but I certainly won't order this again

Exactly what the title says. The bag smell is sweet but not too sweet. Burned really well in my MM country gentleman with a mellow lightly sweet flavor that was really enjoyable.

Sutliff American Dream is nothing special. I wouldn't recommend this or order it again.
