Bell's Three Nuns Orange is a classic tobacco, coming in a small spun-cut format which matures the Virginias and marries them perfectly with the robust dark-fired tobaccos used. The result is a hearty blend with a deep fruitiness, rich body and a smokiness that rounds out the flavor. It was unavailable in the US for many years, but has made a triumphant return. Once again, you can enjoy Three Nuns Orange.
Note: With the addition of Three Nuns Yellow and Green, the original may also be referred to as Three Nuns Orange.
Not quite like the Three Nuns of old, but still a delightful smoke.
This is a stout blend. The dominant tin fragrance is licorice, which is also noticeable in the room note.
An excellent blend for any time of the day. All natural unadulterated tobacco flavor. 3 Nuns has that special something, I smoke this all day on the go.
Oh my Lord...I enjoyed this tobacco and will keep it in my rotation, however this does not contain the ORIGINAL recipe for the blend so do not think it is of the old. The tin looks more sinister than one would think of three nuns. Upon opening the aroma is really nice, smooth, with a sense of nuttiness. The tobacco was cut well, moisture level ok enough to pack right away probably. I did let them dry for about 15 mins because "coins" tend to hold moisture. The flavor is nice and mellow with the Va being noticed. It had good lighting characteristics as well.
