The Best of Bengal Slices
Bengal Slices began in the seventies as a sliced crumble cake made of Latakia, choice Virginias, and rare, hard-to-get Orientals, with a touch of black Cavendish and a pleasant, complimentary top-dressing. It was a cult favorite but disappeared in the late eighties. Around ten years ago, the brand's owner asked our own Russ Ouellette to recreate the blend and it has been a huge success, often sold out for periods.
Then Russ worked on a version without any added flavorings, also in a crumble cake form, that he named Bengal Slices White. This addition to the brand allowed people who don't like flavored Latakia blends to enjoy Bengal Slices still.
Finally, to try to accommodate people who used to enjoy McClelland's Frog Morton series, Bengal Slices released Bengal Slices Red, another crumble cake with a more modest amount of Latakia and a vanilla-based top note for a smooth, relaxing flavor and a nice room note.
Now you can get all three at one low price with our The Best of Bengal Slices sampler. If you love Latakia and some flavor enhancements, this is one sampler you don't want to pass up.
