Montecristo Espada Estoque

The original Montecristo Espada was a collaboration between Altadis' Grupo de Maestros (their master blenders) and Nestor Placensia. It took Montecristo in a bolder direction, and they've decided to follow it up with Montecristo Espada Estoque, named for a bullfighter's sword.

The blend is a singular collection of rare, well-aged leaf. The long-fillers consist of 2009 Nicaraguan Corojo grown in Esteli, 2013 Nicaraguan Criollo from Ometepe, and 2013 Nicaraguan Criollo from Condega. Holding the fillers in place is a 2002 Nicaraguan Criollo binder that comes from Jalapa. It's wrapped with a dark, glistening, 2013 capa from Jalapa. This is a full-bodied cigar with remarkable richness. There are notes of dark fruit, wood, nuts, and pleasant, sweet spices. It only comes in one size - a 6"x50 ring torpedo. This is a great cigar to enjoy when you have the time to really pay attention to the wonderful experience it delivers.
