A blast from the past...
White Heather was a remarkably popular cigar in the early 1900s, made by Cuesta Rey in Tampa, FL. People from all over enjoyed the brand up until it disappeared about 60 years ago. Now, J.C. Newman has reached back into their portfolio to resurrect this classic cigar, this time made at the PENSA factory in Nicaragua, which also makes the tremendously successful Brick House and El Baton cigars.
This is a Cuban-sandwich style cigar, sporting a silky blonde Connecticut Shade wrapper, which surrounds a Nicaraguan binder and well-aged Nicaraguan Cuban-seed fillers. This is a very smooth and mellow-bodied cigar - the ideal companion on a long walk or on the golf course. Notes of leather and oak lead the way with just a hint of smooth spice and an overall creamy character.
