Cornell & Diehl Small Batch: Sansepolcro Pipe Tobacco
For most of us, the immediate association with fire cured tobacco is the smoky condimental Latakia historically connected to Syria and Cyprus, or in the tradition of Burley fire curing in the smoke houses of Kentucky. However, Italy has its own legacy of fire curing, which is celebrated in Sansepolcro from Cornell & Diehl’s Small Batch series.
The highlight of this blend is a special grade of Dark Fired Kentucky, double fermented in the Sansepolcro region of Italy, delivering depth and rich flavor. Mixed with Black Cavendish and both Red and Bright Virginia leaf, Sansepolcro offers a unique, modern pipe tobacco experience that nods to the history of the craft.
