Radilla and AJ Fernandez? Now there's a winning combination.
Padilla has produced so many boutique blends that have scored highly in ratings that you would think that there's nothing more to prove. But when they got together with AJ to make a new cigar, we waited for it with bated breath. Padilla Habano is marvelously Cubanesque cigar, sporting a nut brown, silky Habano wrapper. That oily capa is laid over a Nicaraguan binder, and a variety of well-aged Nicaraguan Cuban-seed long-fillers. It's surpringly complex, especially for a medium-bodied cigar, with notes of espresso, dark chocolate, wood, spices and a bit of pepper. The finish is lightly sweet, and the construction is spot-on. What's even more amazing is that this is an incredibly affordable, premium handmade. See what a masterpiece Padilla Habano is.
